I love sketching around Cambridge and I regularly meet up with the Cambridge Urban Sketchers group to draw parts of the city. The Green Dragon is not far from where I live and is a very picturesque pub close to the river.

I sat on my stool next to the bridge and drew. It was only when the sun came round that I noticed I was sitting next to a bin which was being slowly warmed to make it a bit smelly. But I am a tough sketcher and carried on!!

When I put the sketch on Facebook, an American lady staying just up the road from the pub got in touch. She collects paintings of places she stayed and bought it. It was lovely to meet her and to know it is going to a good 'home'.
