Framed, detailed painting of the Gibbs Building which was built next to King's College in Cambridge.. This is the view from the road at the back of the college - commonly known as 'The Backs'. The view is dominated by King's College Chapel and the Gibbs Building is rarely mentioned although it is very beautiful in its own right.

For generations of King’s students, it’s where the first nerve-wracking admissions interview took place, where supervisions – terrifying or inspiring – happen, and where lifelong connections have been made.

The painting is small and thin and the two buildings sit between the gap in the trees planted closer to the road. Painted with tiny brushes, there is so much detail in the buildings and the autumnal leaves. Ideal for that odd corner above a door or at eye height to see the detail.
